A few months ago I found a jQuery gallery tutorial with great functionality. It was an easy to use image gallery. The gallery allowed multiple categories like normal galleries. The difference is there’s no need to switch pages in order to view more pieces. HTML5 and CSS3 makes it possible to easily use smooth transitions to accomplish tasks without everything feeling so blocky and restrictive.
This tutorial is based off the same jQuery foundation. It was written by Martin Angelov on Tutorialzine. She provides the PSD file and source files to follow along with. The tutorial walks us through what needs to be done to accomplish a sleek HTML5 Portfolio gallery.
“In today’s tutorial we will be making a beautiful HTML5 portfolio powered by jQuery and the Quicksand plugin. You can use it to showcase your latest work and it is fully customizable, so potentially you could expand it to do much more.”
Don’t restrict yourself to a portfolio. Play around and practice with the codes to come up with something great to showcase your work, posts and or products.
