City Fairytale - A Journey into Travel Photography with Photographer Marcus Lewis

City Fairytale

So, it’s possible for me to wake up at any time, but I don’t recommend it. It’s such a struggle for me these days to get up and going, especially when I don’t have anything urgent to get to. All-in-all I definitely need to at least do this for some amazing sunrise photography. While in Montreal I frequently went on some bike adventures way early in the morning to catch sunrise. Very much worth it. Leads me to thinking I should continue this trend.

One day it will become a habit of mine. But not just yet haha. I tried it a few times while visiting my cousin in Jersey City, for some cool rooftop sunrise shots. Forcing myself to get up so early was pretty easy, but was even easier to just jump back into bed once finished!

The view was absolutely incredible though, so I can’t complain one bit. You get up there and see a full 360 degree panoramic view from the Empire State Building over to the World Trade Center and Statue of Liberty. And all the way around. So amazing.

Take a look at some of the extra shots I took while up there. I hope you enjoy.

Do you have trouble getting up in the am to start your day, or are you so used to it already? Let me know in the comments.
